As Executive Vice President and Chief Scientist of Paragon Research Corporation, Kelly Falter brings with him 32 years of experience in developing highly advanced, innovative hardware and software solutions.

Mr. Falter holds several patents including one for the development of the Micro-miniature Infrared Transmitter for tracking Africanized honeybees, also known as the “Bee Chip,” and over 30 technical publications on various topics. Mr. Falter spent 12 years with the Oak Ridge National Laboratory as a development engineer with a major portion of his time devoted to the National Security Program Office. He received a Martin Marietta Technical Achievement Award for the development of the previously mentioned infrared transmitter, a Significant Event Award for the development of the miniature RF transmitter, a Lockheed Martin Operations and Support Award for development of the Oak Ridge Calibration Recall Program, and an Outstanding Managerial and Technical Performance Award for support of the Navy RADIAC Development Program. He later became a Senior Manager with the E.W. Scripps Company before starting Cadre5, a hardware & software development company in Knoxville, TN. In 2009, Mr. Falter co-founded Paragon Research Corporation in Huntsville, Alabama where he currently leads several research and development, and national defense efforts for the U.S. Army and Missile Defense Agency.

Kelly holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Physics and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
